Ivinghoe Beacon

Ivinghoe Beacon is such a beautiful place to ramble around, its beauty is sometimes surprising, you can be walking along one of the many twisting nature trails and suddenly be confronted by a deer or Pheasant or a large bird of prey such as a majestic Buzzard soaring high above or if you're lucky you may even spot one perched on a post surveying his domain.

Natural vs Unnatural Bodybuilding

As a man involved in weight training on and off for a number of years during which I've been bigger and smaller over the years. I've seen the guys with supposedly superior genetics, we've all seen them, they come into the gym looking very average then over a period of only 6 weeks they have surpassed all your gains which have taken you years of pain sweat and tears and numerous injurys and claim it's all down to superior genetics...I believe this is a case of you can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of time.

Burnham on crouch

Lovely day out at Southend-on-sea a little overcast at times but generally fair weather ensued for the majority of our outing.

Southend on sea has all you could want in a holiday destination, ample restaurants pubs and bars and only a stones throw away from Burnham on Crouch which is a strikingly beautiful place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, it is situated on the Thames Estuary which affords some spectacular views of the estuary. Photos below all of Burnham on crouch.

Morse vs Lewis

This is another one of my rants, not so much a humerus nurse at the moment.
I've just watched an episode of lewis which as far as I know was meant to be the follow on from Morse and the natural progression of Lewis to raise to inspector as it was implied on the very last episode of Morse which I thought was a great idea as this would maintain continuity, but no this apparently hasn't happened as i've just watched an episode of Lewis where one of the characters who died after a struggle with Morse in a car by accidentally impaling himself on a large carving knife was just helping Lewis with his enquires.
I didn't realize that britain had such a shortage of actors unbelievable...rant over.

Dog Walkers

This is just a quick gripe of mine, it relates to the supposedly responsible dog owners who pick up their dogs faeces and put them in a bag then you would think they'd put them in a bin but no instead they wait until no ones looking and throw them into the hedge, I must point out at this point i'm not referring to the vast majority of dog owners who are very responsible I only refer to the small minority of irresponsible dog owners.

I really can't see the point of going to the trouble of putting your dog's faeces in a bag only to throw it into a hedge where the bag as well as the faeces becomes a problem, if the correct bags are used they're meant to be biodegradable but apparently they just breakdown into smaller pieces which get taken up by smaller animals and invertebrates which is a huge issue as  they are the foundations of the food chain...rant over:-)
